so i’ve been hearing a lot about **mail order brides** recently and i’m kinda curious. is it really just a stereotype, or does it happen more than we think? i mean, some people say it’s a scam or outdated, but i’m not sure. anyone have any real experiences or insights? would love to hear your thoughts.

yeah, lots of ppl from different countries just use online dating platforms to meet someone, and it’s not about buying a wife, it’s about building a connection. it’s just the media that kinda blows it out of proportion.

hey to all. i think the term “mail order bride” is super outdated and doesn’t really reflect what’s happening today. people are just looking for love, regardless of where they’re from. the stereotype tends to ignore the fact that these women are making their own choices, looking for someone who shares their values. it’s more of a modern matchmaking service now. there are always bad apples, but that’s true for any dating scene, not just international.

hey guys,i think the whole “mail order bride” thing is kinda unfair. it really simplifies a lot of complex situations. people have been doing long-distance relationships for decades, and it’s just that nowadays, it’s easier to meet ppl internationally thanks to dating apps/websites. some ppl still use the term, but i feel like it’s becoming less common as the stigma fades. it’s just regular dating now, with a bit of a cultural twist.
